Tudor Black Bay P01

In the past 10 years, Tudor has been has been doing a fantastic job with their contemporary offerings. Watches such as the Black Bay, Heritage Chronograph and Pelagos collections have been flying off the shelves for their impressive looks, sporty construction and aggressive price points. This particular watch, however, is not one of those watches. What we have here may very well be what you find in the dictionary if you were to look up the word 'controversial.' When the Tudor P01 was released at Baselworld 2019, what seemed like the entirety of the watch community stood back and gawked for its clearly... different... set of features. While accepting that the design might not for everyone, the P01 is very, very cool. It is daring, different, and a breath of fresh air with its patented locking-bezel design from the late 1960's, a 4:00 crown position, a hinged-lug case, and Tudors ubiquitous and endlessly quirky 'Snowflake' handset.  In virtually unworn condition, this watch goes against the grain while still possessing all of the features and quality that you'd expect from one of the best brands in the game.
