Tudor Submariner

The most frustrating part about what we do at analog/shift is having to say no to our clients, as in “no, we don’t have a blue Snowflake right now”, or “sorry, no blue Lollipops at the moment”. Some watches are extremely sought after, and it’s just not possible to have them available all too often, so when we get in a beautiful example, it goes fast.
It’s no wonder Tudors have become so highly respected lately. They had already been massively popular for years, but they are always seen as a fun addition to a Rolex collection, a weekend watch of sorts to wear when the serious pieces were in the vault. Collector sentiment has changed in a big way, and the iconic style (along with the re-emergence of the brand in the U.S. via the popular Heritage models) has bumped Tudors up to a first-tier watch.
But with increased popularity has come a rash of refurbished, modified, Frankensteined, and outright fake examples, making it difficult for enthusiasts to find the genuine article. Now you don’t have to worry about any of that, because we’ve sourced a virtually flawless example of a blue Sub that is without a doubt the nicest example that’s come through our shop.
After Tudor retired the Snowflake Submariner, they introduced the “Lollipop” Sub, which more closely resembled its Rolex cousin. The hour hand initially has a single large lume plot, thus the Lollipop moniker, but the lume tended to fall out, and was quickly replaced by the Mercedes hand.
This example features a case that is extremely fat and sharp, and has spent little time with a polishing wheel, if any at all. The dial is free of any defects, and the bezel looks like it did the day it was born. If you’re the type of collector who only buys mint watch, this is the Tudor for you.
