Long before its acquisition by the Swatch Group in 2013, Harry Winston was one of the world’s foremost jewelers. Having outfitted some of Hollywood’s most famous starlets and purchased and sold some of the world’s finest diamonds, he was a celebrity jeweler if ever there was one. Since his namesake company came under the Swatch umbrella, it has continued to turn out fine watches that incorporate the brand’s beloved jewels.  This fine Premier ladies’ dress watch is a perfect example of Harry Winston’s melding of classic horological tropes with beautiful gem-setting. Housed in an 18K white gold case with a sapphire crystal, a diamond-set ‘onion’ crown, and a diamond-encrusted bezel, it features a white mother of pearl dial with applied diamond indices and a matching, blued steel ‘spear’ handset. Paired to an 18K white gold bracelet with a hidden deployant clasp, it’s powered by a reliable quartz movement. Dating to the 2020s, this Premier is a wonderful alternative to tried-and-true designs such as the Tank and the Serpenti. Perhaps it’s not quite so discrete — what with its abundance of diamonds, but honestly, who doesn’t want a bit of fun from one’s dress watches?!
