You're looking at the next collectable Submariner! The recently discontinued 40m Submariner lineup was the first Submariner to feature the now-famous ceramic dive timing bezel and 'Maxi Case' configuration. Introduced in 2012, these watches have become the gold standard for steel diving watches, and was just updated slightly in September 2020. This particular watch, a Reference 116613LN, is finished in two-tone 18K yellow gold and stainless steel and shares all of the features of the full-steel ceramic Subs. With a ceramic dive timing bezel, an Oyster bracelet with a Glidelock clasp and Rolex's fantastic Glidelock system, a magnified sapphire crystal, and a glossy black dial with gold indices and a matching handset, this watch offers a bit more flair than a "run-of-the-mill" Submariner - and we are into it! Furthermore, this piece comes with all its goodies! While not for everyone, there is something about a two-tone Submariner that just works. Be it the versatility, or the relative value next to its full-gold and full-steel counterparts, two-tone just works with the Sub.
