Chopard Monterey Historics 1994 Chronograph

With a deep connection to motorsport that dates back to the Mille Miglia, it was only natural that Chopard was chosen as a sponsor and official timekeeper for the growing event. Surrounding the Mille Miglia, Chopard has made a whole host of notable timepieces and limited editions. This particular Chopard dates to 1994. A Monterey Historics model, Reference 8271, this brilliant chronograph features a mecaquartz movement within providing extreme chronometric precision.  Housed in a lightweight 39mm stainless steel case, the watch pairs sporting performance with subtle motorsport cues. Silver subregisters house the chronograph functions, with a date at 4 o'clock, and stylized numerals throughout giving the watch its personality.  The chronograph layout features three subdials for running seconds, an hour counter, and a 1/10th second counter for motorsports. The chronograph seconds hand is tipped off with a red arrow to add a little flair to the otherwise subdued design. Completing the theme is a brown strap with matching pin buckle.  There’s no question that cars and watches go together.
