The Holy Trinity of watch brands: Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin.
Far less understood than either of its respected compatriots, Vacheron Constantin has a legacy of producing some of the very finest haute horlogerie complications in history — and some of the loveliest.
What we have here is something different and decidedly more unique. A jump hour complication from the 1990s, this limited edition piece was made in just 200 examples in pink gold with a guilloche dial, hour at 12 in a framed window, and a retrograde minute display below.
The case is a unique design on its own. A TV shape, the watch flaunts a multi step bezel and lug profile that reinforces the art deco aesthetic design language that inspires this piece.
Flip the watch over, and you're greeted by an automatic winding movement observed through an exhibition caseback. A fantastic blend of retro and contemporary detailing, this watch is not a typical timekeeper, and for that, we love it!
