Universal Genève Polerouter III

From the perspective of the history of modern horology, the Universal Genève Polerouter holds a special corner all to itself.  In many ways the Polerouter, with all of its variety, is the story of modern Swiss Watchmaking.  This particular piece is not your typical Polerouter! A Polerouter III, this reference has done away with the twisted lug, round case standard, instead using a 70s classic cushiony tank with TV ends and an industrial appeal.  The dial display is extremely unique, with a blue central dial display, silvered outbound, with applique indexes and a TV shaped date window at 3 o'clock. Automatic winding and powered by a classic Polerouter movement, you get all the historical chops of Polerouter movement prominence but packaged in a different aesthetic. It works really well.  This example is in great shape throughout and showcases Universal Geneve's 1970s design language characteristically. The Polerouter is one of the coolest watches in the vintage game. This Polerouter III might be even cooler. We’ll let you be the judge!
