Panerai Luminor Marina 1950

For us vintage snobs, modern Panerai can be a tricky subject.  They’re either a home-run, or, well…the opposite. This beauty, the PAM01359, is very much the former. Housed in a 44mm stainless steel cushion case with a guarded, locking crown, a sapphire crystal, a polished bezel, it features a black 'sandwich' dial with luminous, cutaway Arabic indices in two sizes, a luminous 'sword' handset, a date window at 3 o'clock, and a running seconds indicator at 9 o'clock.  Powered by Panerai's automatic Cal. P.9000, it comes paired to a black leather strap with white contrast stitching and a signed pin buckle.
