Rolex Submariner Date

As a successor to the iconic Reference 1680, the 16610 embodies the spirit of the original Submariner Date with function-first design and legendary build quality. Early 16610 models utilized Tritium luminous material, while later references moved to Luminova, making it a truly significant transitional piece. The 16610 is also the last reference Submariner Date to use the classically proportioned tapered 39mm Oyster case. This particular Y-Serial example dates to circa 2002 and features an excellent case with factory finishing, a mint condition luminous glossy black dial, a magnifies sapphire crystal, and the robust and updated heavy duty Oyster bracelet with a signed fliplock clasp with dive extension. Additionally this watch is accompanied by punched papers dating from Emperor Watch & Jewelry Co. Hong Kong from 2003. All in all, an outstanding example of the Pre-Maxi case Submariner line!
