This effect tidies up the dial giving it a sense of space resulting in a visually bigger watch as compared to the original. On top of that, the hands are also redesigned. The new minute and second hands are outlined in red for precise timekeeping.  
  Another craftsmanship worth highlighting is the Maya bestows a multi-layered dial design - a combination of both sandwich dial work and the embossing process. For the first time, Dievas incorporated different techniques for the dial markers. For instance, the “explorer” numerals alongside the 12 o’clock triangle marker are embossed and painted with SuperLuminova. On the opposite, the remaining hour plots are cut out of the dial, using the negative space to read off them. And on the underside, luminous are being filled on the second lower layer. Overall, a refreshing dial design that is both unique and utilitarian. A fine exemplar of classic German watchmaking. Multi-layered dial design elements found on the Maya MK III On the exterior, the case has been re-engineered for a slimmer profile. This allows the watch to sit flatter on the wrist. Up to 36% more contact now on the wrist as compared to the original. The slimmer profile together with the curved lugs allows the watch to flow and wraps around the wrist. This results in a better and more comfortable fit. Last but not least, the crown is redesigned for a smoother crown operation and engraved with the Dievas logo for more identity.
