IWC Portofino

The Portofino line has long been an overlooked corner of the IWC catalog. Inspired by classic 1960s models, modern Portofino watches combine tried-and-true characteristics of favorite mid-century timepieces with excellent modern movements, handsome dial designs, and a wide array of strap choices. Their chronographs in particular provide a welcome, dressier alternative to the popular, sportier choices prevalent in today’s market.  The particular IWC Portofino we have here is a beautiful contemporary reference. Housed in a 39mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal, a signed crown, and a polished bezel, it features a satin black dial with applied indices, a matching ‘feuille’ handset, and a date display at 3 o'clock. Powered by the IWC's Caliber 30110 automatic winding movement, it comes paired to a signed black alligator leather strap with a signed steel deployant clasp. The Portofino line is an excellent option if you are looking for a dressier option from IWC — and if the chronograph isn't your cup of tea, this simpler time & date variant may just be the thing for you.
