The Nautilus is without question one of the great horological icons of the 1970s, and one of the most in-demand timepiece models on the planet.
Collectors and prospectors alike are clamoring to get their hands on Genta's second great luxury sports watch — all the more so since the discontinuation of the stainless steel Ref. 5711 a few years ago.
This particular Nautilus, a reference 3710/A-001, discards the typical applied rectangular hour indices in favor of 'Roman' numeral indices for a slightly more classical look. Dating to circa 2005, it's an alternative to the more prototypical Nautilus design, and perfect for somebody who craves something a bit more left of center.
Housed in a 42mm stainless steel case with a signed crown and a sapphire crystal, it features a black dial with applied 'Roman' indices, a date window at 3 o'clock, a luminous handset, and a small power reserve indicator below 12 o'clock. Paired to a matching integrated bracelet with a signed locking clasp, it's powered by the Patek Philippe automatic Calibre 330 SC IZR movement.
Accompanied by its factory goodies, this neat Nautilus is an early-2000s time capsule. Come try it on for size!
