Upon its launch in 2014, Bvlgari’s Octo Finissimo line changed the face of modern watchmaking. Daring, innovative, and bold, the collection from star designer Fabrizio Bonamassa took Gérald Genta’s older ‘luxury sport watch’ concepts — as well as his more recent high-complication wristwatches for the Italian luxury behemoth — and evolved them into a single, genre-bending product family. The Octo Finissimo line took advantage of Bvlgari’s then-recent move into vertically integrated watch manufacturing to craft a collection that began winning industry awards for thinness at a record pace, culminating in what was then the world’s thinnest mechanical watch, the Octo Finissimo Ultra, in 2022.  This particular OF is a Reference 103126, an wildly cool skeletonized model. Housed in a 40mm black ceramic case with a sapphire crystal, a ceramic crown, and a ceramic bezel, it features a skeletonized dial with an outer minute track, a skeletonized 'obelisk' handset, a sub-seconds display at 8:00, and a power reserve indicator at 9:30.  Powered by the in-house Bvlgari BLV 128SK caliber, the entire watch comes in at just 5.5mm tall. When paired to its matching black ceramic multi-link bracelet with a signed, hidden deployant clasp, it’s simply a work of mechanical art — and a thing of beauty! Plus, this one happens to be in outstanding overall condition and includes all its goodies. Surely, if you’re the type of person who appreciates a forward-thinking brand — who’s tired of the same old designs being resurfaced ad infinitum — then there are few horological developments more exciting than the Octo Finissimo line. But don’t take our word for it. Try this baby on today!
