We love vintage Heuers because they epitomize the essence of vintage racing chronographs, and the Montreal is easily one of the coolest. The Montreal is a relatively obscure model that is little known outside of collector circles. Introduced in 1972 featuring a number of similar design cues to the more established Autavia and Carrera collections, the Montreal effortlessly exudes that "70s thing" we love so much. With an oversized cushion case with fine sunburst brushing, the case is remarkably similar to the Mark II Speedy, but is powered by the self-winding Calibre 12 chronograph movement as opposed to Omega's hand-cranker. This piece, a Reference 110.503, features a vibrant blue dial with contrasting white subsidiary registers, luminous red hands, a framed date window at 6 o’clock, and applied Tritium indices that have patinated to a lovely cream tone. Infinitely charming and cooler than the other side of your bed pillow, this case has retained its factory sunburst case hood finish, and features a flat acrylic crystal, recessed chronograph pushers, and a signed crown positioned at 9 o’clock. In fantastic condition throughout, this piece features a correct stainless steel bracelet with a signed locking clasp. When you factor in Heuer’s venerable Calibre 12 movement and a crispy blue dial variation, this timepiece is a killer find. Look no further than this Heuer Montreal!
