Muller the man and Muller the brand have brought a lot to the world of modern horology, and his colorful, mid-1990s/early-2000s tonneau-shaped dress watch collection perfectly exhibits a design language that walks a fine line between classical and whimsical. This particular piece, a Reference 8001, lives up to that reputation, yet by FM standards, is on the restrained side of things... Dating to circa the mid-late 1990s, it features a 35mm x 50mm steel Tonneau case with a curved sapphire crystal, a signed crown, and a matte black dial with stylized, Tritium 'Arabic' indices (yes, thats right), and a matching 'feuille' handset. Powered by an automatic winding movement, this piece comes fitted to one of our brown alligator-pattern leather strap with a signed steel pin buckle.
