Roger Dubuis Hommage H37

Roger Dubuis, a speciality producer of haute horlogerie fare based in Geneva, makes some of the most exciting pieces on the market. Founded in 1995 by watchmaker Roger Dubuis and designer Carlos Dias, Roger Dubuis has built its reputation on avant-garde designs, aesthetics, and dials. Often working within a traditional framework, Dubuis still manages to incorporate his personal taste and eye into even the most tame designs.  What we have here is one such example. A Ref. H37 Hommage, this Roger Dubuis is extremely simple and legible, yet hints at its maker's more unbridled design side. A lovely enamel dial is set beneath a matching 'lance' handset, applique Breguet numerals, and a colored outband minute track. It's this minute tracks adventurous brown/ red tones that remind us that this watch is made by a designer with an eye for tradition but with slight modern flourishes.  At 37mm in white gold, this watch is just a perfect everyday driver.
