Rolex GMT-Master 'Pepsi'

The GMT-Master Reference 1675 is a genre-defining timepiece.  The second generation of the dual timezone wristwatch from Rolex, the 1675 was introduced in 1960 and saw nearly two decades of continuous production, resulting in a myriad of dial and case variations that have become one of the most exciting sub-genres of vintage Rolex collecting. The 1675 carries-over the ubiquitous 24hr blue and red 'Pepsi' bezel insert from its predecessor, but upgrades to aluminum from bakelite and grows to 39mm with added crown guards. This particular example dates to circa 1971, and features a strong holey lug Oyster case, housing a matte black 'MKV' Tritium dial with matching handset, a magnified acrylic crystal, the nothing short of iconic 'Pepsi' bezel insert with a lovely even fade, and a folded-link 'rivet' Oyster bracelet with a signed blade clasp. Be warned - trying on a 1675 on will undoubtedly ruin you for the modern iterations!
