Jubilee Skin Diver

There's no doubt that dive watches hold a special place in the hearts of many collectors, ourselves included. In fact, Analog:Shift was founded with its eyes set squarely on vintage divers.
Alas, so many interesting dive watch brands have been lost to time. From the well-known to the completely unrecognizable, any number of Swiss brands failed to survive the Quartz Crisis of the 1970s, folding completely and disappearing or being rolled up into conglomerates that pillaged their stores of parts.
Jubilee is one such brand.
Once a sub-brand of Longines-Wittnauer, it made all manner of fun and affordable pieces — such as the watch we have here today. Housed in a 37mm stainless steel case, this skin diver is ideal for someone looking to break into the vintage watch game without breaking the bank. Featuring an unsigned crown, an acrylic crystal, and a black, fully graduated bezel insert, it boasts a handsome silvered dial with an outer, open minute track; applied, luminous indices and applied 'Arabic' indices; a date window at 3 o'clock; and a luminous 'sword' handset.
Powered by a hand-wound, Japanese-made UTC 29 movement, it retains a thin profile due to the absence of an automatic winding rotor and comes paired to a green Tropic-style rubber dive strap. It's even accompanied by its original display box!
Whether you're on the hunt for your first vintage piece or building out a dedicated collection of skin divers, this cool Jubilee should be right up your alley. Pounce on it before someone else gets the same idea!
