Swiss brand Corum has always forged its own path.  From its Romulus collection of Roman-inspired watches to its famed timepieces made out of gold coins, Corum’s wares are unique and eye-catching. Such is especially true of its shaped watches from the 1970s, a time when watch design — and industrial design in general — was going through radical changes in favor of bold shapes, bright colors, and fun accents. This particular Corum is a Pheasant feather-dialed model from circa the 1970s — and its a looker! Coming in at 35mm in diameter with an 18k yellow gold  case fitted to a brown calfskin strap, this piece features a high polish to the case, a 'pencil' handset, cabochon crown, and its pièce de résistance; a stunning brown dial fabricated from an actual pheasant feather (made by Stern Freres Cadrans)!  Exquisite. Powered by a manually wound movement, this piece is a striking piece of design that stands out in a sea of round, same-same dive and sport watches. Looking for a watch that’s slightly left-of-center from an under the radar brand? Look no further!
