Inspired by the rich history of North America’s East Coast, the Cape Cod's distinguishable watch case took its unique shape from Hermès’ Chaîne d'Ancre, a link made in likeness to a nautical anchor chain. This piece, a Reference CD6.710, features a 37mm ‘square-within-a-rectangle’ case with a curved sapphire crystal, signed crown and 'chain' lugs dressed with a signed black alligator leather strap secured by a stainless steel push button deployant buckle. The gloss blue dial features applied ‘Arabic’ numerals with a mirror polish finish, a matching handset, a tone-matching date indicator at 3 o’clock and center minute track bordering a hobnail finished dial center. Powered by an automatic movement, the caseback features an engraving of Hermes’ iconic horse and carriage logo.
