Piaget 'Lapis Lazuli' Asymmetrical

There’s nothing more classic and appealing than a simple dress watch. Though to be fair, when we say “simple,” we mean “uncomplicated” — not unattractive! The 21st century saw a plethora of such watches hit the market. Generally available on leather straps and featuring two or three hands, these reliable wristwatches kept time during the classiest decades of the past 100 years. However, some were more innovative than others. This dress watch from Piaget — who specialize in ultra-thin watchmaking — is one such example, but with a lovely twist.  It features a stunning yellow gold asymmetrical case with a blue lapis lazuli dial. Asymmetrical dress watches have been on a seemingly unbounded tear since the Crash has skyrocketed, and this Piaget is an incredible example.  Combining organic flowing case lines with a truly organic dial material, this whimsical piece is perfect parts jewelry, classicism, and intrigue. It's a tasteful departure from the norm that honors tradition while providing visual intrigue.  As cool as this piece is from a design standpoint, it also has an incredible ultra thin caliber 9P movement within. This piece is a reminder that Piaget is a master of watchmaking and jewelry, and we are all for this incredible manifestation of 1970s design and horology.
