In the past 10 years, Tudor has been doing a fantastic job with their contemporary offerings. Watches such as the Black Bay, Heritage Chronograph and Pelagos collections have been flying off the shelves for their impressive looks, sporty construction and aggressive price points. But their professional line doesn't tell the whole story of Tudor's rebirth.
This particular watch is a 28mm Tudor Royal Reference M28300-0007 featuring a stainless steel crenelated bezel with alternating fluted and polished finish, a gem-set blue dial, applied ‘Roman’ cardinal indices, a matching ‘baton’ handset, a date at 3 o’clock, a signed crown, Tudor’s Calibre T201 and fitted to the Royal collection’s signature integrated five-link bracelet.
While there is a 1970’s sport-luxury vibe to the Royal collection, it stops well short of being what most of us deem a “sports watch". It's a pretty dressy timepiece, in fact. And to that point, the Tudor Royal collection is one of the most appealing Tudors we’ve seen in a while that isn't a steel dive watch or GMT.
