Rolex GMT-Master

The GMT-Master Reference 1675 is a genre-defining timepiece.  The second generation of the dual timezone wristwatch from Rolex, the 1675 was introduced in 1960 and saw nearly two decades of continuous production, resulting in a myriad of dial and case variations that have become one of the most exciting sub-genres of vintage Rolex collecting. The 1675 carries-over the ubiquitous 24hr blue and red 'Pepsi' bezel insert from its predecessor and adds a black option - but upgrades to aluminum from bakelite and grows to 39mm with added crown guards. This particular example dates to circa 1968, and features a strong, professionally refurbished case housing a matte black MK1 Tritium dial with matching handset, a magnified acrylic crystal, a bidirectional rotating 24hr bezel with a faded black insert, and a folded-link Oyster bracelet with a signed blade clasp. Be warned - trying on a 1675 on will undoubtedly ruin you for the modern iterations!
