Seiko Quartz Chronograph Moonphase

Though the Swiss often get all the glory for producing the first automatic chronograph in 1969, Seiko quietly released the Calibre 6139 — a rugged automatic chronograph unit — as early as May of the same year.
While the automatic movement became the defacto mode for Seiko chronos, Seiko also made waves in the world of quartz timekeeping, and some of the brands coolest designs were quartz pieces. Take this Ref. 7A48-7000 for example. With a placid white dial, this piece is a canvas for a beautiful chronograph with moonphase at 12 o'clock. Seiko actually didn't make many moonphase pieces in general, so this watch stands out as somewhat of a rarity among the vintage collections.
Sized roughly 39mm, this reference was one of the early quartz chrono movements from the brand, presented in the 80s with an exceptional integrated bracelet design. This particular iteration is a quietly two-tone iteration carrying through the bracelet and onto the bezel in a subtle way.
This watch is truly uncommon, and in this condition and pricing, this is sure to be a standout in any collection!
