Jaeger-LeCoultre Tank

We admittedly have a thing for Reversos. Whether classic or contemporary, the Reverso has become a staple in the collections of many men (and women) of discerning taste. Though similar stylistically to the Cartier Tank Louis, which predates it by twelve years, the Reverso is anything but a replica of the Tank. It has a unique story, cool aesthetic, and party-trick quality to it. That said, the Reverso is far from the only rectangular watch JLC made. This Tank is exactly what we mean.  This piece has a lot of the detail we'd hope to see on a midcentury Tank-style piece: a rare black dial on rosy yellow gold case, lovely patinaed Arabic numerals, and manually wound movement within.  The highlight of this piece arguably is the lovely, sophisticated case construction, with its lovely facets, unique lug profile, and scalloped bezel.
