Breitling has long been purveyor of chronographs to pilots, but in the 1950's, the newfound popularity of dive watches such as the Rolex Submariner and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms pushed it to enter that race. In 1957, the brand released both a time-only dive watch, the Superocean Reference 1004, and a chronograph in the form of the Reference 807. These timepieces were the beginning of a long-lasting and ever-evolving line of nautical watches beloved by many. The piece we’re offering here is both a beast (in the most endearing way possible) as well as a contemporary take on the Superocean that started it all — it’s the Superocean Heritage B20!  Housed in a seriously hefty 46mm stainless case with a black-polished ceramic timing bezel; a signed, screw-down crown; a sapphire crystal; and a robust, shark-mesh stainless steel bracelet with a signed, locking clasp, it's certainly not a watch for the faint of heart (or wrist).  The matte black dial features a date window at 6 o’clock; polished indices with luminous plots; and a handset with a 'broad-arrow' hour hand and a sword minute hand. Packed with a Breitling Calibre B20 — a self-winding movement based on the Calibre MT5612 found in the Tudor Pelagos — it’s equipped with 70 hours of power reserve, a silicon hairspring, and COSC certification. With its factory caseback sticker still intact, this piece is virtually unworn and comes with all of its factory goodies — including its outer box, travel case, signed leather case holder, bezel protector, purchase receipt, and a warranty card dated October, 2022. We don’t care if ‘sketchy guys wear Breitling’ — indeed, we take that as a full-on compliment.  Try this beast on today!
