The 1970s was a breeding ground for technological innovation, advancement and disruption. In the world of watches, a newcomer was ready to shake things up — the digital watch. The very first digital watch debuted in 1972, and albeit time-only, this piece was nothing like the world had seen. It paved the way for a whole host of new watches made at scale. Few brands played a more substantial role in the proliferation of quartz timepieces than Seiko. Arguably no brand made more iterations and optionalities for quartz. Take this watch, for example. A dual time zone timekeeper, this piece packs a 7 function LCD display within one of Seiko's most classic case silhouettes. It also includes a day date functionality, displayed across the dial with a rectangle indicating the current day. This watch packs all the 70s and 80s cool into an awesome, everyday wearable package.  In great overall condition, this piece is accompanied by its original hangtag. There’s nothing wrong with a quartz watch. The experienced collector will honestly tell you that there is always a “quartz” phase. We admit, we’re currently into Quartz. But rest assured, it’s not a Crisis.
